The Cardinals returned to their Opening Day configuration of five bench players and 12 pitchers today with the recall of outfielder Allen Craig from Class AAA Memphis, where Craig was hitting .275 with two homers and 20 runs batted in after being sent down on April 26. Lefthanded pitcher Even MacLane, who was purchased from Memphis but didn’t appear last weekend, started for Memphis on Monday after being sent back.
