St. Louis Cardinals catcher Jason LaRue took the full battery of hitting workouts this afternoon and said if this was a regular-season game tonight, he’d be ready to play. Manager Tony La Russa was more conservative but allowed for the possibility that LaRue could play in Saturday’s game here at Target Field.
