The Cardinals just announced that third baseman Felipe Lopez is scratched from today’s start with renewed right elbow soreness. The problem, which dates to the Cardinals’ April 11 game against the Milwaukee Brewers, flared anew after Lopez played all nine innings of Saturday’s 2-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants. Lopez contributed two hits but admitted after the game that the elbow gradually stiffened as the game progressed.
