When the first full-scale workout for the Cardinals is held on Tuesday. St. Louisan David Freese officially can begin making his bid for the vacant third-base job. According to manager Tony La Russa this morning, Freese already has got a jump on his task but that doesn’t mean that La Russa won’t look at fellow rookie Allen Craig and a couple of others at third base this spring.
