Jack Wilson (Pirates):
Still, the night largely belonged to Wilson. The double was one of four hits, which included another double and a triple. The four-hit game was the 13th of Wilson's career and upped his RBI total since returning seven days ago to seven.

Speaking of Betancourt, my sources tell me the team has been sniffing around potential deals to bolster their middle infield. One scenario would see the Mariners send Betancourt to the Pittsburgh Pirates for veteran shortstop Jack Wilson.

Chris Richard (Rays):
Triple-A International League Offensive Player Of The Week
.429 (12-28), 6 R, 5 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 13 RBI, 2 BB, 3 SO, 0 SB
Outfielder Chris Richard went a perfect 3-for-3 on Tuesday, but that was hardly the highlight of his week. On Friday, the slugger became the first International League player in more than 50 years to hit two grand slams in one game. Thanks partly to his Friday performance, he collected a third of his season total in homers and nearly half his RBI output. The 2008 International League midseason All-Star struggled at the beginning of the year, consistently batting below .200, but has raised his average to .281 with the recent hot streak.

Braden Looper (Brewers):
In his first start against his former team, Braden Looper tossed the Brewers' Major League-leading 24th quality start, hurling six-plus innings and giving up just one earned run. His lone blemish was a two-run home run by the Cardinals' Colby Rasmus in the seventh inning.

Dan Haren (Diamondbacks):
Monday starter Dan Haren, who gave up a run in his three unofficial innings, will start either Friday or Saturday -- depending on how he feels leading up to the weekend.

Jason Isringhausen (Rays):
Jason Isringhausen joined the Rays on Monday, which is welcome news to Tampa Bay's overworked bullpen.

Jason Marquis (Rockies):
Marquis turned it around against his former team, pitching eight gutsy innings as the Rockies beat the Braves, 5-1, at Turner Field. Marquis allowed just one run on five hits and induced four double plays. The strong outing not only ended a personal slide for Marquis, but also could breathe life into a Colorado team that had lost seven of its past 10 games before Monday.
