Middle Relievers Come From All Over, But That Doesn't Diminish Their Role

Snapshot: He has a funky delivery similar to Meredith. The Padres view him as a potential closer. As a minor leaguer, Worrell averaged 1.17 strikeouts per inning, with the number jumping up to 1.36 last season at Triple-A. Opponents hit only .210 against Worrell last year.
