Jaime Moyer Struggles In Game 3 Of NLCS

In Joe Torre's first full season as Cardinals manager in 1991, the Cardinals overcame an awful six weeks by a former Chicago Cubs lefthander to finish in second place in the National League Eastern Division. Jamie Moyer, the club's fifth starter early that season, started seven games and the Cardinals lost six, five of them by Moyer. With Moyer 0-5 in May, Torre summoned Moyer to tell him he had been sent to Class AAA Louisville because the soft-tossing Moyer basically didn't have enough variety in his pitches, especially in his changing of speeds.

So far the Phillies two post-season losses have one thing in common; Jamie Moyer pitching. That pretty much goes against Moyer's career and recent histories.
