Adam Wainwright threw 50 of what he called "max-effort" pitches in a bullpen session Saturday. The game-intensity throw included his first full-speed curveballs and sliders. "It felt like a normal curveball," said Wainwright, who is returning from a ruptured pulley in his right middle finger. "Which is weird because it hasn’t been normal for a while and I wasn’t expecting it to. It felt completely normal."
