The Cardinals today open the second half of what four months ago was widely perceived as a "transitional" season under first-year general manager John Mozeliak and an overhauled front office. Rather than become afterthoughts, however, the Cardinals re-open the schedule as the NL wild card leader and with the league's second-best record.
