The Columbus Clippers named Rick Eckstein as their hitting coach for the 2008 season. Eckstein begins his first season with the Clippers, though he is no stranger to the organization. Eckstein spent three seasons in the Nationals organization, most recently in 2006 as hitting coach for the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs.
