Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In Summer Collegiate Leagues 7-10-14: Joe Gillette Triples, Walks, & Drives In Two Runs; Anthony Herron, Jr. Singles

West Coast League:

Joe Gillette (former 2014 draft selection-Wenatchee) started at third base and batted ninth.  1-for-3 with one triple, two RBIs, one run, and one walk.

Walla Walla beat Wenatchee 16-9


St. Louis Metro Instructional League (July 8, 2014):

Anthony Herron, Jr. (former 2014 draft selection-Knights) entered late in the game as a pinch hitter and batted third.  1-for-1 with one run.

Kats beat Knights 8-7

Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In Summer Collegiate Leagues 7-4-14: Trevor Megill Strikes Out One Over Two Scoreless Innings; Joe Gillette Doubles, Walks, & Drives In One Run; Tate Matheny Singles

Cape Cod League:

Trevor Megill (former 2014 draft selection-Orleans) entered in the seventh and pitched two innings.  He allowed one hit, no runs, and struck one out.  (p-s:22-13)

Orleans beat Harwich 3-1


West Coast League:

Joe Gillette (former 2014 draft selection-Wenatchee) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  1-for-3 with one double, one RBI, two runs, one walk, assisted in one double play, and committed one error.

Kelowna beat Wenatchee 13-4


St. Louis Metro Instructional League:

Anthony Herron, Jr. (former 2014 draft selection-Knights) entered in the eighth and pitched two innings.  He allowed two hits, three earned runs, one walk, threw one wild pitch, and struck three out.  (p-s:28-20)

Bandits beat Knights 5-4


International:

Tate Matheny (former 2012 draft selection-Team USA) started in centerfield and batted ninth.  1-for-2 with one strikeout.
