The New York-Penn League has named State College Spikes Senior Sports Turf Manager Matt Neri the 2018 NYPL Sports Turf Manager of the Year. Neri, the only sports turf manager in the history of Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, is now a five-time recipient of the prestigious honor.

Matt Neri Named New York-Penn League 2016 Sports Turf Manager Of The Year
The Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) has named State College Spikes Senior Sports Turf Manager Matt Neri the 2016 New York-Penn League Sports Turf Manager of the Year. Neri, the only sports turf manager that Medlar Field at Lubrano Park has ever known, is now a four-time recipient of the prestigious award, presented annually by Minor League Baseball and Major League Baseball.

Matt Neri's Leadership Key In Grounds Crew Excellence
By the time the gates at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park open for fans on State College Spikes game days, the grounds crew has already been there for about nine hours.
