Organizers of the Honkbalweek Haarlem 2020 have announced on Tuesday that this year’s edition will be cancelled.

First Participants Announced For 30th Honkbalweek Haarlem

Organizers of the Honkbalweek Haarlem have announced the first five teams of the 30th edition, which will be held from June 26 to July 5 at Pim Mulier Stadium in Haarlem, Netherlands. Besides host Netherlands, also Germany, Cuba, defending champion Japan and Chinese Taipei will participate. Organizers are hopefully to add an American team as sixth participant.

2020 Honkbalweek Haarlem To Start July 26, 2020 With Six Teams

The organizers of the Honkbalweek Haarlem revealed this past weekend that they are looking to start the 2020 edition on July 26, 2020. Besides host Netherlands they are hoping for Italy, Mexico, Japan, Chinese Taipei and the United States as participants.

Japan Scouting, Evaluating Pitchers With New State-Of-The-Art Tool, Science

This past Sunday, team ‘Samurai’ Japan won the Honkbalweek Haarlem after reaching the final for the third time in a row. This year, team Japan was represented by their Collegiate National Team. Cuba Announces Roster For Honkbalweek Haarlem 2018

Cuba has announced its roster for the Honkbalweek Haarlem 2018. Eight pitchers, two catchers, seven infielders and four outfielders will make the trip to Pim Mulier Stadium. The 29th edition of the Honkbalweek will be played from July 13 to 22. Other participants are the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Chinese Taipei and Japan.

Italy To Participate In Haarlem Honkbalweek 2018

Italy is going to participate in the Haarlem Honkbalweek 2018. Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) President Andrea Marcon confirmed the news in an interview at Baseball.it.

Honkbal Week Haarlem Will Not Return In 2018

Organizers of the Honkbalweek Haarlem have announced that they will stop organizing the bi-annual international baseball tournament. The 29th edition would have been played in 2018. Organizers cite financial problems as main reasons for the decision. Starting in 2012 the tournament faced problems in this area and even though the economy in the Netherlands has recovered since then they didn’t see an effect during the 2016 Honkbalweek Haarlem.

Schedule Announced For Honkbal Week Haarlem 2016

The organizers of the 28th Honkbal Week Haarlem (July 15 to 24) released the schedule for this year’s edition. It all starts on Friday, July 15 at 7pm with a matchup between Curacao and Japan. On day two Australia, Chinese Taipei and the Netherlands enter the competition. The first round will be played through July 20. Afterwards the playoffs will determine through three days the two finalists, which will square off on July 24. All games will be played at Pim Mulier Stadium in Haarlem, Netherlands.

Australia, Curacao, & Chinese Taipei Join Netherlands & Japan For Honkbal Week Haarlem

The organizers of the Honkbal Week Haarlem have announced three more participating teams for the 2016 edition. Australia, Curacao and Chinese Taipei join the Netherlands and Japan for the biannual international baseball tournament, which will be held from July 15 to 24 at Pim Mulier Stadium in Haarlem, Netherlands.
