Baseball Celebrated At Annual St. Louis University First Pitch Dinner

The tell-tale sign of a new Saint Louis University Baseball season on the horizon is the annual First Pitch Dinner. Last week, the 2018 edition officially kicked-off the year for the Billikens as they head into play in mid-February.

St. Louis University To Host Dinner With Ozzie Smith

Saint Louis baseball will host an intimate dinner with Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. at Dominic’s in Clayton. Cost for the event, which is limited to 30 attendees, is $1,000 per person. 2017 First Pitch Dinner With Randy Flores

Saint Louis baseball will host its annual First Pitch Dinner on January 27 at Lorenzini’s in Chaifetz Arena with guest speaker Randy Flores. Admission to the event is $100. Flores is the Director of Scouting for the St. Louis Cardinals, a position he has held since 2015. In this capacity, he oversees all aspects of the scouting department, including the amateur draft.

Audio: Jose Oquendo's Knack Will Be Missed

Just a couple of days ago, as the St. Louis Cardinals were eating lunch and preparing for their afternoon game, Jose Oquendo pulled up a chair at one of the tables and began a conversation with the newly acquired Ruben Tejada. A couple of other players soon moved closer to listen as Oquendo imparted his message.
