Andrew Pierce Suspended 50 Games For Testing Positive For Amphetamines
Andrew Pierce, a pitching prospect for the St. Louis Cardinals, was levied a 50-game suspension Wednesday after violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. Pierce, a former eighth-round draftee, was cited for testing positive for an amphetamine.

State College @ Mahoning Valley Postponed Due To Wet Grounds; Doubleheader Set For Wednesday
Tuesday night's scheduled 7:05 p.m. game between the State College Spikes and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at Eastwood Field has been postponed due to wet field conditions after heavy rains in the Mahoning Valley area in the late afternoon. The two teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games starting Wednesday at 6:05 p.m.
The State College Spikes’ game at Mahoning Valley on Tuesday night was washed out by rain.

State College, Mahoning Valley Postponed By Rain Friday
Friday night's scheduled 7:05 p.m. game between the State College Spikes and the Batavia Muckdogs at Dwyer Stadium has been postponed due to rain in the Batavia area. The two teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games starting Saturday at 5:05 p.m.
