Former Cardinals Playing In Puerto Rican Double-A League 4-7-19: Javier Machuca Strikes Out Five Over Scoreless Nine Inning Complete Game Win



Javier Machuca (former GCL-Lajas) started and pitched nine innings.  He allowed four hits, no runs, one walk, and struck five out for the winning decision.

Lajas beat Sabana Grande 4-0 in game one of doubleheader

Ivan Maldonado (former MiLB tryout-Maunabo) started and pitched six innings.  He allowed eight hits, five earned runs, one walk, and struck three out for the winning decision.

Maunabo beat Yabucoa 17-8 in game  one of doubleheader

Juan Caballero (former Johnson City-Salinas) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed seven hits, four runs (two earned), and struck seven out for the losing decision.

Santa Isabel beat Salinas 6-4 in game one of doubleheader

Luis Montantez (former Memphis-Anasco) 3-for-4 at the plate.

San Sebastian beat Anasco 10-3 in game one of doubleheader

Randy Ruiz (former MiLB signing-Aibonito) 1-for-3 with one hit by pitch and one strikeout.

Cayey beat Aibonito 2-1 in game one of doubleheader

Juan Diaz (former Palm Beach-Cidra) 2-for-3 with two RBIs, one run, and two walks.

Cidra beat Humacoa 5-4 in game one of doubleheader
