The myriad paths that Alex Reyes’ spring showing could have nudged him toward has been whittled down to two, manager Mike Shildt confirmed shortly before Reyes’ scoreless appearance in Tuesday’s 5-0 loss to the Braves.

With the calendar working against them and the wish to have his prized arm work for them, the Cardinals are shifting Alex Reyes, officially, to the bullpen for the remainder of spring training.
