Between 2011 and 2015, the Cardinals made 12 selections in the first round of the amateur baseball draft, counting supplemental picks. Half of them are now in the majors, while one, high school catcher Steve Bean (2012) is out of baseball. Five more are playing in the minor leagues, trying to work their way toward the majors.
