Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 5-8-18: Cedric Hunter Singles Twice & Drives In Three Runs; Raul Valdes Strikes Out Nine & Allows One Run Over Six Innings For The Win; Yefri Perez Doubles & Walks



Raul Valdes (former St. Louis-Saltillo) started and pitched six innings.  He allowed three hits, one earned run, two walks, and struck nine out for the winning decision (6-1).  (p-s:98-64)(g/f:5-1)

Saltillo beat Durango 4-2

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Dos Laredos) entered late in the game at second base and batted seventh.  One walk at the plate.

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  2-for-3 with one run, one walk, and assisted in one double play.

Aguascalientes beat Dos Laredos 12-1

Yefri Perez (former MiLB signing-Monclova) started in centerfield and batted leadoff.  1-for-4 with one double, two runs, and one walk.

Laguna beat Monclova 15-6

Cedric Hunter (former Memphis-Leon) started in right field and batted fifth.  2-for-6 with three RBIs (one w/two-outs) and one sac fly.
Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Leon) started at second base and batted sixth.  1-for-6 with one hit by pitch.

Quintana Roo beat Leon 6-5 in 14 innings
