Tuesday afternoon at Target Field, Mike Matheny huddled with Dexter Fowler and his hitting coaches to outline a strategy for his right fielder. There was a chance Fowler could return to the lineup after getting a majority of the weekend off to fight his way out of a dreadful lump, much like Matt Carpenter.
