Melky Cabrera, OF, free agent — Cabrera, a 33-year-old switch-hitter, leads a worthy list of free agents yet to be signed. Cabrera hit a combined .285 with 17 homers and 85 RBIs (.746 OPS) last season between the White Sox and Royals, but he remains unemployed. There are a few teams looking into the possibility of signing him to a minor league deal if he’ll accept one.
