Joe Girardi is said to want to manage again, and his connection with Cardinals baseball president John Mozeliak was noted by Joel Sherman of the New York Post. My opinion: Matheny is under-rated. Let’s not forget that Matheny’s success is most likely what helped start the trend to hire the inexperienced to manage (not that I love this trend).
