Fifty years ago, in the year of 1.12, the Cardinals opened their home season against the Atlanta Braves. Five members of the starting lineups were on hand at Busch Stadium III Thursday night as either Cardinals Hall of Famers, or National Hall of Famers, including Bob Gibson, who had that magical 1.12 earned run average that year.
