The Cardinals were the 27th club visited by former Cardinals star and manager Joe Torre, now chief baseball officer for Major League Baseball. The meetings are held every year in spring training and rules changes, etc., are discussed, such as the new visits to the mound rule but Torre said, “I can’t comment on anything. I can’t talk about it until I talk to all 30 clubs.”
