Baseball ops honcho John Mozeliak has expressed reluctance in giving up prospects for a short-term solution, but if he pursued Moustakas, the Cardinals could keep their minor-leaguers and just use some of their plentiful dollars, whether in a short-term deal (or a longer contract). Royals fans would not be happy, of course, to see Moustakas move to the other side of Missouri.
