The Chicago Cubs had gone through a 6-15 stretch before the All-Star break, opening the door a smidge for the Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates to sneak back into the National League Central Division race. But the Cubs recently have all but slammed that door by winning nine in a row to take a whopping, double-digit lead over both teams. The Cardinals, however, are the only team the Cubs have played at Wrigley Field this year whom they have not beaten, dropping three games to the Cardinals on June 20-22.
