Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 7-19-16: Eliezer Alfonzo Singles Twice, Walks, Homers Twice, & Drives In Four Runs; Jose Martinez Doubles Twice & Knocks In One Run; Richy Pedroza Collects One Single, One Double, One Walk, & One RBI



Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Tabasco) entered late in the game at second base and moved to left field, batting third.  One walk and two sacrifices.

Eliezer Alfonzo (former Peoria-Saltillo) started at first base and batted third.  4-for-8 with two home runs, four RBIs (two w/two-outs), two runs, one intentional walk, and three strikeouts.

Tabasco beat Saltillo 6-5 in 18 innings

Jose Martinez (former Springfield-Veracruz) started at second base and batted fifth.  2-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI, and two runs.

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted leadoff.  2-for-4 with one double, one two-out RBI, one walk, one strikeout, and assisted in one double play.

Aguascalientes beat Veracruz 8-7

Niko Vasquez (former Peoria-Laguna) started at shortstop and batted sixth.  0-for-3 with one strikeout.

Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Yucatan) started as designated hitter and batted 0-for-2 with one run and two walks.

Yucatan beat Laguna 7-0

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted fifth.  0-for-2 with one run, one walk, one strikeout, and assisted in one double play.

Puebla beat Tijuana 8-3
