Jhonny Peralta Sees Third Base As His Possible Future, Too; Kolten Wong Alerted To Triple-A Possibility; Lance Lynn To Visit, Throw; Rehab Roundup, Etc

When the Cardinals approached All-Star shortstop Jhonny Peralta with the plan to play him at third base so they could keep rookie Aledmys Diaz at shortstop, he understood they weren’t just talking about the team’s future.

Cardinals starting pitcher Lance Lynn, who had Tommy John surgery to rebuild his right elbow this past winter, is expected to visit St. Louis this month, possibly as soon as next week’s homestand. During his visit he’ll have his elbow re-examined, and manager Mike Matheny said the starter is expected to throw a bullpen session for the team.
