How Seung-Hwan Oh Quietly Became The Best Reliever In The National League

Seung-hwan Oh is one of the most dominant pitchers in the majors, but it would be hard to tell based on his facial expressions. When he walks off the mound after striking out the side, as he did against the Cincinnati Reds earlier this month, his face looks exactly the same as when he gives up a run. The 33-year-old, signed by the St. Louis Cardinals in the offseason after playing the previous two seasons in the NPB, earned the nickname Stone Buddha when he pitched in the KBO League because of this stoic demeanor.
