Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican league 6-12-16: Jose Martinez Walks, Homers, & Drives In Two Runs; Niko Vasquez Hits A Solo Home Run; Pedro Rodriguez Pitches On Hitless/Scoreless Inning For The Save



Eliezer Alfonzo (former Peoria-Mexico) started as designated hitter and batted seventh.  2-for-3 with one run and one hit by pitch.

Quintana Roo beat Mexico 10-5

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted leadoff.  3-for-5 with one double, two runs, one throwing error, and assisted in one double play.

Campeche beat Aguascalientes 7-6

Jose Martinez (former Springfield-Veracruz) started at second base and batted fourth.  1-for-3 with one home run, two RBIs, two runs, one walk, and assisted in two double plays.

Veracruz beat Monclova 7-2

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Laguna) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  1-for-4 with one home run, one RBI, one run, and one strikeout.

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Tabasco) started at second base and batted leadoff.  2-for-4 with one double, one sacrifice, and one caught stealing.

Tabasco beat Laguna 7-3

Pedro Rodriguez (former MiLB signing-Yucatan) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs for the save (6).  (p-s:10-7)(g/f:1-2)

Yucatan beat Tijuana 6-3
