Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 6-11-16: Maikel Cleto Strikes Out Two Of Three Batters Faced For The Hold; Luis Garcia Singles, Walks, & Drives In One Run; Pedro Rodriguez Pitches One Scoreless Innings For The Save



Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and moved to second base, batting leadoff.  2-for-5 with one double, one strikeout, one caught stealing, and assisted in one double play.

Campeche beat Aguascalientes 9-7

Eliezer Afonzo (former Peoria-Mexico) started as designated hitter and batted seventh.  1-for-5 with two strikeouts.

Quintana Roo beat Mexico 6-4 in 10 innings

Jose Martinez (former Springfield-Veracruz) started at first base and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one ground into double play.

Veracruz beat Monclova 4-3

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Laguna) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  1-for-4 with one double, one run, and one strikeout.
Maikel Cleto (former St. Louis-Laguna) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs, and struck two out for the hold (1).  (p-s:12-8)(g/f:0-1)

Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Yucatan) started as designated hitter and batted fourth.  1-for-3 with one RBI, one run, one walk, and two strikeouts.
