Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 5-13-16: Daric Barton Doubles Twice & Hits A Solo Home Run; Ivan Bellazetin Collects Four Singles & One RBI; Ivan Maldonado Strikes Out Three & Allows One Run Over Six Innings



Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Tabasco) started at second base and batted ninth.  4-for-5 with one RBI.

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted fifth.  3-for-4 with two doubles, one home run, one RBI, two runs, and assisted in two double plays.

Puebla beat Tabasco 10-9

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at second base and batted leadoff.  0-for-5 and assisted in one double play.

Saltillo beat Aguascalientes 6-4

Ivan Maldonado (former MiLB tryout-Reynosa) started and pitched six innings.  He allowed three hits, one earned run, one home run, three walks, hit one batter, and struck three out.  (p-s:92-55)(g/f:3-5)

Monterrey beat Reynosa 5-2 in 11 innings

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Laguna) started at shortstop and batted second.  1-for-3 with one double, one RBI, one run, one walk, and assisted in one double play.

Laguna beat Monclova 4-0

Iker Franco (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started at catcher and batted eighth.  1-for-3 with one strikeout and allowed two stolen base.

Carmen beat Quintana Roo 4-3

Eliezer Alfonzo (former Peoria-Mexico) started at first base and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one two-out RBI and assisted in two double plays.

Tijuana beat Mexico 5-2
