Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In College 5-6-16: Gio Brusa Singles, Walks, Homers, & Drives In Three Runs; Josh Rolette Singles, Homers, & Knocks In Three Runs; Anthony Herron Strikes Out Eight Over Five Scoreless Innings



Gio Brusa (former 2015 draft selection-Pacific) started in right field and batted fourth.  2-for-4 with one home run, three RBIs, one run, and one walk.

Pacific beat Santa Clara 12-8

Cadyn Grenier (former 2015 draft selection-Oregon St) started at third base and batted ninth.  1-for-3 with one strikeout.

Arizona beat Oregon St 6-1

Anthony Herron (former 2014 draft selection-Jefferson) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed one hit, no runs, one walk, and struck eight out for the winning decision.

Jefferson beat St. Charles 11-0

Tristan Hildebrandt (former 2014 draft selection-Cal St Fullerton) started at second base and batted ninth.  1-for-4 with one RBI and two strikeouts.

Cal St Fullerton beat UC Riverside 2-1

A.J. Kruzel (former 2013 draft selection-Henderson St) started at shortstop and batted sixth.  1-for-4 and committed one error.

Henderson St beat S.Arkansas 6-2

Josh Rolette (former 2015 draft selection-Kansas St) started as designated hitter and batted third.  2-for-5 with one home run, three RBIs, one run, and one caught stealing.

Kansas St beat Oklahoma 9-3

Dom Thompson-Williams (former 2014 draft selection-South Carolina) started in centerfield and moved to left, batting second.  1-for-4 with two runs, one sacrifice, and one strikeout.

South Carolina beat Kentucky 10-5

Matt Vierling (former 2015 draft selection-Notre Dame) started in right field and batted sixth.  0-for-4 at the plate.

Pittsburgh beat Notre Dame 4-2
