Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-29-16: Daric Barton Hits Two Homer & Drives In Four Runs; Eliezer Alfonzo Singles Twice, Homers, & Knocks In Three Runs; Luis Garcia Collects One Double & Three RBIs



Eliezer Alfonzo (former Peoria-Mexico) started at catcher and batted eighth.  3-for-3 with two home runs, three RBIs (two w/two-outs), three runs, one hit by pitch, and allowed two stolen bases.

Mexico beat Laguna 9-8

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted leadoff.  1-for-4 with one RBI and assisted in one double play.

Monterrey beat Aguascalientes 5-4  in 10 innings

Eugenio Velez (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started in left field and batted fifth.  1-for-5 with two RBIs and one strikeout.
Iker Franco (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) entered late in the game at catcher.

Oaxaca beat Quintana Roo 6-5

Francisco Rivera (former Palm Beach-Campeche) started in left field and batted seventh.  0-for-3 at the plate.

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Tabasco) started at second base and batted eighth.  1-for-3 with one double and one missed catch error.

Tabasco beat Campeche 1-0

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted fifth.  2-for-4 with one double, one home run, four RBIs (two w/two-outs), one run, and assisted in one double play.

Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Yucatan) started as designated hitter and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one double, three RBIs, one run, and one sac fly.

Puebla beat Yucatan 7-6
