Chris Carpenter: My Vote For Cardinals Hall Of Fame

I remember watching Chris Carpenter for the first time at Busch Stadium. April 14th, 2004. I was hanging out up top the manual scoreboard and wanted to know who this new guy was. Matt Morris was the last ace before burning out and Woody Williams was an animal but not an ace and getting old as well. The Birds needed a new sheriff. Carp looked different. He was 6-foot-6-inches and imposing. Nobody had a clue of his impact. He turned 41 this week and remains my favorite pitcher of all time. He was one of the Cardinals Hall of Fame candidates this month and should be voted in.
