A day after the the Arizona Diamondbacks made a big trade for right-hander Shelby Miller, general manager Dave Stewart was defending himself against the big negative reaction that the deal engendered. Generally, observers believe Stewart paid too much for Miller in sending overall No. 1 draft pick Dansby Swanson, outfielder Ender Inciarte and right-handed pitching prospect Aaron Blair to the Atlanta Braves.
