When I think of Jhonny Peralta, I think of steady. A guy who will give you a consistent effort, production and level of play no matter what happens. When he signed a four year deal in November of 2013, fans and the media were divided. They didn't like his PED background, his career numbers or his capability at shortstop. Once again, General Manager John Mozeliak's ability to assess talent was questioned. Once again, the mantra wins. Mo knows. Peralta is the Cardinals first half MVP.
