As we discussed the last two days, Venezuela has become an increasingly challenging arena for scouts and for players. The international market moves quickly, and with matters outside of baseball affecting life in Venezuela, it’s been difficult for scouts to be able to do their jobs in that country, which has hampered the Venezuelan market this year.
