The Scoop: When it comes to pure stuff, Reyes can match up with anyone in the minors. At his best, his fastball/curveball combo can be topped only by the Nationals’ Lucas Giolito. All Reyes has to do is throw both of those pitches where he wants them to go more consistently. Partly because of tight pitch limits and partly because of his lack of efficiency, Reyes has yet to throw a pitch in the seventh inning of a game this year, and that trend continued this week, when he struck out 8 of the 21 batters he faced in five scoreless frames.
