Ted Simmons, one of the new electees to the Cardinals' Hall of Fame, always had something interesting to say about the state of the game when he played. And the former All-Star catcher hasn't changed in his post-playing life, which led to him being a player development director to a general manager to a special assistant for several teams. He works now for the Seattle Mariners and he took on a variety of subjects in a recent interview with the Post-Dispatch:
