After so many unfortunate false starts, Jaime Garcia will try it again Thursday, walking onto a major-league mound in a game that counts in the standings. After another round of surgery and an extended absence, Garcia reemerges from the deep gray of uncertainty. No one knew if we'd ever see Garcia pitch for the Cardinals again, but today he reappears, right there in the middle of Citi Field in New York.
