Cardinals Place Jon Jay On The 15-Day Disabled List (Retroactive To May 10, 2015), Recall Xavier Scruggs From Triple-A Memphis

The St. Louis Cardinals announced prior to today's series finale in Cleveland that they have placed outfielder Jon Jay (left wrist tendinitis) on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 10, and recalled first baseman/outfielder Xavier Scruggs from Memphis (AAA).

The Cardinals placed Jon Jay on the 15-day disabled list and recalled Xavier Scruggs from Triple-A Memphis prior to their Thursday series finale against the Indians. Jay is suffering from a case of tendinitis in his left wrist, and he's batted .248 with a .330 on-base percentage in 30 games this season.
