Mitch Harris Q&A With Cardinals Farm

Every player has a story but rarely do they carry one as rich and inspirational as Memphis Redbirds pitcher Mitch Harris. A 29 year old pitcher chasing down a dream he’s harbored since he was a kid and one he waited five years to pursue, while serving in the Navy as a weapons officer. After being drafted in 2008, Harris served his country and put his athletic career on hold. After he came home, Harris played in the Arizona Fall League in 2014 and came to spring training fighting for a spot. He is currently with the Memphis Redbirds, and I had a chance to speak with Mitch over the phone about his career, adventurous life and his dream of pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals.
