Benches Clear In LA After Adam Wainwright Plunks Yasiel Puig

Dodgers center fielder Yasiel Puig was hit on the shoulder by a pitch from Cardinals right-hander Adam Wainwright to open a two-run Los Angeles third inning during Friday's Game 1 of the National League Division Series at Dodger Stadium, causing both benches and bullpens to empty.

Just in case the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals needed to remind anyone, they really don't like one another.

For the last two days, both the Cardinals and Dodgers insisted there were no lingering bad feelings from earlier in July when the two teams had some issues with players being hit at the plate. Their mood changed in the 3rd inning as tempers re-ignited when Puig was hit in the back by a 90mph fastball from Wainwright.
