Derek Jeter is not in the Yankees’ starting lineup tonight, so unless he pinch-hits or the Yankees/Cardinals meet in the World Series, he has taken his last career at-bat in St. Louis. Sellout crowds here at Busch Stadium certainly provided an appropriate send-off, with both giving the future Hall-of-Fame shortstop a standing ovation before his first plate appearance. Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina helped create the moment by walking toward the mound to give extra time for acknowledgement.
