Rookie infielder Greg Garcia already had displayed his ability to get on base, even before he got his first hit. In his first four plate appearances for the Cardinals, Garcia reached base three times — on a walk, a hit batsman and, on Wednesday, a strikeout when Milwaukee catcher Jonathan Lucroy had a passed ball.
