Day 33: Cardinals (6-8) @ Red Sox (7-10)

The Cardinals’ bus is en route to Fort Myers for a World Series rematch, but back here in Jupiter, Fla., reliever Jason Motte just finished throwing his second live batting practice. I wasn’t here for his first session, but was told command was an issue. That wasn’t so much the case today.

The Cardinals began their trek across the state of Florida this morning before the sun was up, and they should be so lucky for the sun to stay with them today.

Assuming the weather cooperates - and that's a big assumption at this point with forecasts calling for heavy rain - the Cardinals and Red Sox will duke it out again just over four months after Boston disposed of the Redbirds in six games in the World Series.

The St. Louis Cardinals boarded the bus bright and early this morning to head to Fort Myers to take on the Boston Red Sox this St. Patrick’s Day. Jon Jay and Peter Bourjos will both be in the outfield–with Bourjos again patrolling center.
