For the first time this spring, the Cardinals are giving Allen Craig a start back at first base, which was his primary position in 2013 but won’t be at least at the start of this season. Though the Cardinals project Craig to open the year in right field, he will be asked to play first base at some point in 2014 — so why not get him some game repetitions there now?
