It has been a fairly quiet morning around the Cardinals’ complex this Monday, though there are two press conferences scheduled for later today. The first will be to introduce Cuban shortstop Aledmys Diaz, who signed a four-year deal with the Cardinals on Sunday. General manager John Mozeliak will also speak at the gathering, which will begin at 10:30 am CT.

The Cardinals will meet up with Parkway Central and Mizzou product Max Scherzer today when the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner from the Detroit Tigers faces the Cardinals in an exhibition game here. Shelby Miller will get his second start for the spring for the Cardinals.

The Detroit Tigers are in town from Lakeland for their second day of games in Jupiter after playing the Marlins yesterday at Roger Dean Stadium. St. Louis native (Parkway Central High and Missouri alum) Max Scherzer starts for the Tigers opposite Shelby Miller.
