Day 24: Nationals (5-3) @ Cardinals (2-4)

Saturday’s lineup does not feature Peter Bourjos — who has now been out a week due to a hamstring cramp — but it does include Oscar Taveras for the second straight day. After playing half the game in right field on Friday, Taveras will just get at-bats today.

The Cardinals will use what could pass for an opening-day lineup of position players today when they face the Washington Nationals in an exhibition game.

The Washington Nationals are in town for the first of a home-road tilt which will see the Cardinals head to Viera tomorrow. In it, top prospect Oscar Taveras, fresh off a 1-3 day in his Grapefruit League debut yesterday in Port St. Lucie, will be in the starting lineup once again.

After a throwing a live batting practice session on Wednesday, St. Louis Cardinals closer Trevor Rosenthal is scheduled to make his Spring Training debut this afternoon against the Washington Nationals. Rosenthal had been slowed by a strained groin.
